Sun To Shine on Executive Salaries

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger of California has signed a bill that requires the governing boards of Cal State and the University of California to open their meetings when deciding on employee pay and long-term plans. Kudos to the governor for signing Senate Bill 190 because, as he commented, “there should be transparency in our educational systems so that the public has confidence in our institutions.” (The Chronicle of Higher Education)
