Tenure Forever

Today at Insidehighered.com, there’s a short article on the University of Colorado’s review of tenure practices, which the regents demanded in the wake of the Ward Churchill controversy. The initial report is now out, and it calls for no major changes to the tenure system. No wonder: The committee’s membership is dominated by professors. That’s like asking the teammates of Barry Bonds to investigate MLB steroid policy.
