They Got Game

The Wash Post profiles the George Mason economics department, home of Walter Williams and other free-market luminaries. The occasion for the article is, well, you know. A truly great line, from reporter Neil Irwin: “Economists have game theory; the basketball players have just got game.” Also, a funny quote from the suddenly b-ball-crazy campus: “I don’t remember anywhere near this big a celebration when Vernon [Smith] won the Nobel Prize,” said GMU economics professor Alex Tabarrok.
