Regarding the statistics on educated people, those with a bachelor’s degree or more, having more stable marriages: This is true for the time span the studies looked at, the first ten years of marriage. But I haven’t seen statistics on the second and third decades and beyond. High-profile divorces of long-standing marriages, such as those of Al Gore, John Edwards, Mark Sanford, Newt Gingrich, Rudolph Giuliani, Maria Shriver, and others, make me wonder if things remain rosy for college grads as they move along in life.
