John Rosenberg, at his excellent “Discriminations” blogsite, flags POCLA: “People of Color Less Asians.” It’s similar to URM (“Under-Represented Minorities”), in that it’s handy when a school wants to discriminate against both whites and Asian Americans in, say, student admissions or faculty hiring. But I’d say it’s more pointed and explicit in defining the target and, thus, uglier.
