Unintended Consequences of Pepper Spraying at UC-Davis

Professor Scott Herring writes here about the likely consequences of the pepper spraying of student protesters at UC-Davis, namely more of the  administrative bloat (for “sensitivity training” and so forth) that is responsible for the rising costs that the students were protesting in the first place. The usual suspects, always eager to capitalize on any excuse for more university programs to solve social problems will probably take advantage of the pepper-spray incident.
