Ever since North Carolina governor Pat McCrory told Bill Bennett, rather clumsily, that he wants universities to get “butts in jobs” not just “butts in seats,” there’s been talk about why students aren’t getting the jobs they expected after college. Burt Wallerstein, a business consultant, says that the millennial generation is totally unprepared for the changes coming in their lifetimes. They need communication skills, analytical skills, the ability to sell themselves, and knowledge of at least one of the countries that will be ascending over the next few decades.
