Why So Few Black Males?

My Pope Center colleague Jane Shaw writes here about a symposium she recently attended at Duke University. It was devoted to the question of why black males are so “underrepresented” on college campuses these days.

No one had the answer, but the weakness in our urban K-12 education just might have something to do with it.
