On Wisconsin

I thank George Leef for his posts earlier this week here and here on the Center for Equal Opportunity’s release of two new studies that document severe racial and ethnic discrimination at the University of Wisconsin in its undergrad and law-school admissions, and on the campus’s reaction to that release. Here is a follow-up post I made today to K. C. Johnson’s thoughts on the matter over at Minding the Campus. I conclude, “The bottom line:  The studies got lots of publicity, and the issue of racial and ethnic admissions preferences is on the front burner in Wisconsin (a state legislator has already announced that he wants to have hearings on whether the university is violating the law). And our opponents have been revealed as intellectually bankrupt, if not downright thugs. So all in all, a very good day. I look forward to returning to Madison soon.”
