Young Americans Don’t Read Much

That’s the conclusion of a new study by the NEA. The National Endowment for the Arts, that is.
The other NEA should have some explaining to do, but if pressed, would probably say that schooling is succeeding in so many other ways, such as getting students to understand other cultures, that a little decline in reading is not much of a price to pay.
