Denver is not only home to the Democratic National Convention, but also host to dozens of energy drink manufacturers – none of which is for sale in the Pepsi Center or Invesco Field, where the event is going to take place.
If you are one of the lucky few who get to attend the convention, you are left with Mountain Dew (Six Pack of cans – $12.00) and some Oraganic Hand Picked Fair Trade Coffees ($41.00 a gallon, or about $6.50 for a Venti size coffee), thanks to Levy Restaurant Caterers. Not to worry, a serving of 10 cookies and 10 glasses of Obamas choice herbal tea will only set you back $67.95. Sure, you get some local choices for beer, but where is the love for the caffeinated drinks found in the state? Sorry Jump Cola, no overpriced Democratic greenbacks for you.
No wonder Dems don’t care about gas prices when they’re paying $41 a gallon for coffee.
(Obama’s choice herbal tea? Sounds bitter…)
