And here’s David Axelrod from Hardball today with some honesty regarding the situation. Whether Chris Matthews, or anyone else, likes it or not, BP and the federal government are partners in this. Kudos to Axelrod for shutting down Matthews’ odd conspiracy theory and asking Matthews what possible motive BP could have in not doing everything possible to fix the leak. Matthews doesn’t answer, but instead airs his real worry that if BP can’t fix the leak, then maybe nobody can.
