Speaking of energy-related things the greens won’t let us do, this from the Department of Energy, via Nature, is beautiful.
Per Nature’s description:

Ah, of course. The demonized, “deadly” (read Red Hot Lies, and see how journalists actually parrot the more extremist claims imaginable, that carbon dioxide is “deadly”) gas will just be stored in massive quantities under, oh, most of your homes, especially those of you living in some very deep blue political regions. And your green pals will simply allow the permits.
Back here in the real world, the greens would litigate every single permit simply to conduct a feasibility inquiry, let alone actually conduct pilot projects or ultimately do something with CO2 other than ration it. Because finding a way to sequester carbon means not changing our wretchedly productive, prosperous, and procreative lifestyles which they hate so much and which lie at the root of this latest, “greatest threat.”
