You have to puzzle over Google’s black-background homepage to commemorate Earth Hour over the weekend.
As Mark Steyn noted on the Corner, the black background uses more energy than the traditional white background. Not to mention the fact that it was nearly impossible to read.
Of course, it also elicited responses like this one, from Lou the Audio Guy:
