I Sea Nussing!

Joe D’Aleo over at ICECAP e-mails to tell about how the custodians at the University of Colorado responded to the very inconvenient sea level data now gaining widespread attention (sea-level rise being the new poster child for global warming alarmism).

They added the following:

Due to an interruption/delay in the Jason-1 data processing, the sea level time series on this website will not be updated until further notice. We anticipate this problem will be corrected by the end of the 2008, at which time a complete time series spanning this gap will be available. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause for our users. For further information, please see: Jason 1 Info.

Looks to me like they expect SLR to continue dropping. Can’t be allowed to see that. As Joe says: “Conspiracy theorists would wonder.”

Actually, when recalling how, say, the National Climatic Data Center suddenly pulled down the locations of US Historical Climate Network measuring stations (as Anthony Watts and the team at www.SurfaceStations.org also drew Internet attention to the absurd instrument placement –Tucson asphalt parking lots, Baltimore tar roofs, Hopkinsville, KY BBQ grills, Tahoe City, CA trash burn barrels, and on and on) I’m well beyond wondering.
