Mother Jones has a splashy Google Maps graphic up via the Natural Resources Defense Council that tells you how dirty your beach is. Surprisingly, Coney Island in Brooklyn is quite clean:
I challenge any Mother Jones reporter to actually go to Coney Island and tell me for themselves how clean it is. Or maybe I’m wrong and plastic bags, bottle caps, broken glass, and cigarette butts aren’t included in the government standards.
