I’m a Spanish citizen and I have just read your excellent article about the power market in Spain. I would like to underline two things that makes the scandal even more disgusting:
First, the oil generators that the owner of solar fileds had placed were, in many cases, from Russia (the cheapest in the market).
Second, in many cases, the fraudsters use oil subsidized by the goverment (for the exclusive use in agiculture and freight traffic) to feed the oil generators
So the costs are even smaller and the fraud bigger. Funny, no?
You in the USA, under the Obama administration, are taking the wrong path . . .
