The Copenhagen Post:

Thom Yorke curses world leaders for indecision on tackling global warming but is buoyed by the attention on the issue

Front man Thom Yorke from Radiohead has crashed the UN climate change conference because he wanted ‘to see what was going on’.

‘I’ve been reading the blogs for days really and I can’t really understand it,’ Yorke said.

The music legend from Oxford, England was at the conference appearing on ‘The Stupid Show’, alongside British environmental campaigner and Green Party candidate Tony Juniper. The show seeks to make sense of what’s happening at COP15 and is recorded live from inside the Bella Center.

‘Neither you or I know what the hell’s (sic) going on in those negotiating rooms,’ Yorke said.

He said it was outrageous that the UN had restricted access for NGOs in the concluding days of the conference.

At least developing countries were part of the negotiations, the artist said, adding that: ‘They have the potential to walk out and the West has got to keep these people on board. If they walk off there’s no deal. That’s the difference between this and past negotiations.’
