South Dakota to Teach Climate Skepticism?

The two houses of the South Dakota state legislature have each passed resolutions calling for a “balanced approach” to the teaching of climate change in schools.

Of the two, the lower house’s resolution takes a firmer stance, including a litany of evidence that runs counter to the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Unfortunately, it also mentions things like “astrological . . . dynamics that can affect world weather phenomena.” We hope they mean “astronomical.”

The state senate’s resolution, by contrast, is much more measured.
