The Grey Lady herself was kind enough to solicit my brief thoughts for posting on its Room for Debate site, to coincide with a story they’re running later this evening about a raging controversy brewing over . . . two-ply toilet paper. My thesis: my, we’ve become wealthy to feel the need to wrestle with such grave issues. Right now we’re wrestling over whether I may include a reference to an odious Al Gore analogy from yesteryear.
I’ve got to run out to speak to the Heritage Foundation’s interns, a quarterly pleasure they afford me, so I’m afraid I cannot fight this one to the bitter end. Tune in later to see how the jury ruled.
