I haven’t heard anything about where 2007 fits in the top all-time for average temperatures.
Maybe I just missed it, but I suspect that since I haven’t heard anything about it from the media, 2007 wasn’t near the top of the charts.

Watts Up With That? has the answer. Thanks to a January 2007 El Niño, the BBC and other media outlets promised last year would be the hottest year EVAR. But take that out, and there’s a clear three-year cooling trend. In fact, January of 2008 is remarkably cool.
