A few years ago, I was walking down Fifth Avenue with Kay Hymowitz talking about the City Journal article “Progressive Ed’s War on Boys” — when who should we run into walking up Fifth? The author, the Daily Telegraph’s Janet Daley. I thought that was a pretty neat trick.
Janet has a piece today arguing that poor people disproportionately bear the burdens of feel-good global-warming legislation. On the Labour (and Democratic) party, she adds: “You can be the party of the environment or you can be the party of the poor, but you can’t be both — at least not at the same time.”
