The Wall Street Journal today reports that Texas officials are speeding up plans to improve wind forecasting (the print version’s subtitle: “Officials Beef Up Forecasting for Popular but Fickle Power Source”) — and see the WSJ’s short item from earlier this week on such forecasting here. They note, too, efforts to develop technology to store wind energy so that more plentiful night winds might be used during daytime doldrums.
