Episode 189: PAGA Ain’t MAGA

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi holds a news conference at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., August 25, 2021. (Jonathan Ernst/Reuters)

California’s Democrats have weaponized the courts through the Private Attorneys General Act, the state law that allows anyone to sue anyone else on behalf of the state’s “interests” — from Prop. 65 to civil rights to employment law. Now that Texas will use the same mechanism to end abortion, Nancy Pelosi and other pro-abortion activists have suddenly discovered the Constitution. In other news: Newsom pulls ahead on the recall, bad teachers get their camera time, and a good teacher — that’d be David Bahnsen — takes over a high-school econ course. Music by Metalachi.
