Newsflash: Joey Votto Won the NL “Batting Title”

What was up with airplane peanuts Jose Reyes? asks arguably the world’s most famous Mets fan. Of course, Jerry was referring to this controversial decision from yesterday afternoon’s Reds-Mets game. Consider calling it a tempest in a teapot, however, since the batting title winner in the National League actually is Joey Votto, owner of a .416 on-base percentage. In contrast, Reyes’ OBP is .384, good for only eighth place.
