Why the heck do the broadcasters of postseason baseball games bombard us with statistically insignificant statistics for the players from the postseason, often to the utter exclusion of the statistics from the regular season?
I’m just now watching the beginning of the Brewers-Cardinals game, and, to give just one example, TBS provided only Ryan Braun’s postseason stats and didn’t display his stellar stats from the regular season.
Is there some reason for this seeming stupidity? Does MLB have no idea how to develop fan interest?
