Jonathan Macey on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s First Foray into Fixing Mortgage Disclosure

One of the CPFB’s central goals is to help customers by creating and enforcing new rules designed to make various financial products easier to understand without unduly restricting choice. Jonathan Macey of Yale Law School argues that the CPFB’s first major effort along these lines is a failure.
