Mina Kimes, my favorite left-leaning business reporter, has a profile of Jan Hatzius, the left-leaning chief economist of Goldman Sachs. Hatzius has also been a prominent voice in favor of nominal GDP level targeting, an approach to monetary policy championed by a number of center-right and center-left thinkers.
