The Agenda

Paul Ryan vs. the Megabanks?

Danielle Douglas of Wonkbook has a post noting Paul Ryan’s criticisms of the concentration of U.S. financial assets in a small number of large financial institutions. Given that Ryan has praised the work of Luigi Zingales, one wonders if the post-RNC Romney-Ryan ticket might run on a market populist agenda. As much as I’d like to see that, I’m skeptical, as Mitt Romney has been reluctant to embrace the cause of breaking up the big banks, as we’ve discussed.
