$4 a Gallon Gas? Incumbents Will Get Drilled, Baby, Drilled.

Economic predictions come and go, but if CNBC’s Rick Santelli’s prediction about gas prices comes to pass, all of our assessments of the 2010 election will have to be adjusted.

“We have the cyclical side – we’re going to have $4 gas this summer probably anyway,” Santelli explained. “It’s a great trade. Maria. You know, we’ve been to $150 before and I don’t see why it couldn’t happen again.”

The national average is $2.82, and it’s only April.

You thought last summer’s town-hall meetings featured a lot of anger? Presuming any members of Congress are willing to hold any, this year they’ll look like the Taiwanese parliament.
