I’m about to depart to catch a flight. My aim is to not blog too much on vacation next week, but I’m bringing the laptop anyway, because the last time I took a morning off to take my son to the doctor, Rod Blagojevich got arrested. News tends to break when the press wants to get away, so I’m betting on Nancy Pelosi reconvening the House for a sudden double impeachment of the president and vice president . . .
For readers in the Savannah/Hilton Head area, I’m appearing at a dinner for the local Republican Party next week. Besides having to getting to listen to me give a talk, it includes dinner at one of my favorite restaurants . . .
