An Awkward Phone Call Between Gore and Kerry

From “No Excuses”,  page 418:
[Word has just reached the Kerry campaign that Al Gore is going to endorse Howard Dean.]

We stood with Kerry in the sun-dappled parking lot and told him what was about to happen. He was incredulous and then angry. Damnit, he’d endorsed Gore – I remembered because I’d helped persuade him to do it – when Gore was at his low ebb in New Hampshire in 2000. Kerry wanted to talk to Gore right now. Morehouse and I both had Gore’s cell phone number. Kerry dialed it and a few seconds later said, “Al, it’s John Kerry.” The line went dead. When Kerry redialed the number, Gore’s phone was turned off.

Are you kidding me? Gore hung up on John Kerry? Can you tell that this book is like crack for fans of failed Democratic presidential bids?

He dreamed of socialism but feared socialists. He feared them because he knew them. I was in the sixth grade in 1984, but I ... Read More

‘White Women’ Becomes a Disparaging Term

Using “white men” as a putdown is no longer extreme enough for the Left. Now it is moving on to doing the same for “white women.” How rapidly this transpired.
