Bachmann, Speaking in South Carolina Soon

Michele Bachmann is off to Columbia and Spartanburg, South Carolina Feb. 19.

Sheri Few, a Kershaw County Republican who helped arrange the trip, said Bachmann likes “aggressive schedules,” so more events in this first-in-the-South primary state are possible.

Few said she was contacted by a friend to help find events that would get the congresswoman exposure in South Carolina.

“I’m trying to help her, because I think she would make an excellent candidate” for president, Few said.

Everyone thinks it means she’s gearing up for a presidential run, but I’d note that most years, South Carolina is a lot warmer in mid-February than Minnesota.

You know which other conservative member of Congress increasingly mentioned as a presidential candidate is spending a lot of time in South Carolina? Jim DeMint.
