The House is voting now on the bailout bill. As of this moment, the Democrats split 79 yea, 32 nay; the GOP splits 30 yea, 48 nay.
My head says the bill needs to pass. But I think there is serious political benefit to voting “no” and denouncing it for the next six weeks on the campaign trail.
UPDATE: With two minutes remaining, Democrats split 113Y-67N and Republicans split Y54- N104. Yes, there are more nays than yeas.
