Survey USA released a ton of results Friday, asking voters whether they approve of the president, their governor, and their senators. A couple of results that jumped out at me:
California
Sen. Feinstein: 46 / 44 [approve / disapprove]
Sen. Boxer: 41 / 48
Boxer’s numbers are pretty lousy for someone running for reelection next year.
Iowa
Pres. Obama: 46 / 48
Sen. Grassley: 50 / 40
Sen. Harkin: 44 / 46
Gov. Culver: 41 / 49
I thought Iowans were going to turn against Grassley in droves for his “death panels” comment.
Minnesota
Pres. Obama: 55 / 40
Sen. Klobuchar: 64 / 31
Sen. Franken: 49 / 44
Gov. Pawlenty: 45 / 52
Pawlenty’s a bit low, but maybe the voters there are just tired of him.
Missouri
Pres. Obama: 44 / 54
Sen. Bond: 45 / 45
Sen. McCaskill: 50 / 43
Gov. Nixon: 51 / 38
Miserable numbers for Obama here, a state he barely lost.
Virginia
Pres. Obama: 49 / 48
Sen. Webb: 48 / 39
Sen. Warner: 61 / 30
Gov. Kaine: 44 / 46
Well, I guess we know why Obama’s not coming to Deeds’s rescue in Virginia.
