Vice President Joe Biden is attending a fundraiser for Connecticut senator Chris Dodd today, his second this year; Obama attended one a few months ago. Some might see Biden as the right guy to gently nudge his old friend towards retirement, but it also would look strange for an incumbent Democrat to withdraw from the race right after the vice president attends his second fundraiser for him.
UPDATE: Well, this is ominous for Dodd’s campaign. First Dodd was going to have to miss the fundraiser for votes, and now word is breaking that Biden may not attend either?
