The Campaign Spot

Born to Runyan

The filing deadline for federal candidates in New Jersey was Monday. Most members of the state’s delegation to the U.S. House are expected to be reelected by relatively wide margins; for example, the Democratic challengers to Scott Garrett and Frank LoBiondo do not appear to have websites. Many of the other challengers have yet to hit five figures in fund-raising.
Obviously, one of the big races to watch is Jon Runyan’s bid to unseat John Adler; as the former Philadelphia Eagle told Fox News’s Greta Van Sustren, he’s going from one contact sport to another.
