Poll: Crist Gains Ground In Senate Race
Charlie Crist Pulls Ahead Of Marco Rubio
ORLANDO, Fla. — Gov. Charlie Crist has gained some ground in his bid for a U.S. Senate seat, according a new poll.
Crist had fallen behind in recent months, but a new Quinnipiac poll puts the Florida governor in the lead. Crist commands 32 percent of potential voters to Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio’s 30 percent.
Democrat Kendrick Meek is not far behind with 24 percent of the vote.
Except that’s a hypothetical three way race with Crist as an independent third-party bid, which hasn’t happened, at least not yet.
And in the GOP primary, Quinnipiac puts Rubio up by 27 head-to-head against Crist.
