Hmm. When he wrote his op-ed in the Washington Post, Creigh Deeds said he would sign a transportation bill that would raise taxes — “I’ll sign a bipartisan bill with a dedicated funding mechanism for transportation — even if it includes new taxes.” But his latest ad features Sen. Mark Warner (D., Va.) saying Deeds “knows keeping taxes low and controlling spending is the right way to keep Virginia the best way to do business.”

Also, the ad features Mark Warner’s least enthusiastic smile ever:

“I’m Creigh Deeds, and I approved the use of blackmail pictures to get Mark Warner in this message.”
