Cash for Clunkers, the $3 Billion ‘Blip’

“Cash for Clunkers” comes to an end.

Jeremy Anwyl, chief executive of Edmunds.com, an automotive research group, in the Washington Post today: “‘Cash for Clunkers’ created a nice little blip . . . We’ll look back and say, ‘Nice party, but the hangover is awful.’”

I hope the party was worth $3 billion in taxpayers’ dollars.
