Caution About Polling In Iowa From Halloween of the Year Before

If you haven’t already, check out my article elsewhere on NRO on the challenges of polling in Iowa, some historical perspective, and a sense of what we can figure out from the numbers so far….
Iowa is the inverse of the rest of the country this year. The Democratic competition is wide open, with Hillary, Obama, and Edwards neck and neck; the Republican race has Romney ahead by a wide margin and a bunch of others close together, competing for second place. Everywhere else, Hillary is way ahead, and the Republican primary is the truly competitive dogfight.
