The Campaign Spot

In Cleveland, the Opposition Party Is the FBI

A fictional, although perhaps illuminating statement: “We Ohio Democrats know we’re down in the polls, but we’re confident! We have some great candidates this year! We’ve won in the past, and we know we can count on an energized grassroots and great turnout from organized labor to support our candidates as they continue the Democratic tradition of standing up for the little people and good government and . . . hey, is that the former Democratic-party chairman in Cleveland being led away from his home in handcuffs by FBI agents?”

UPDATE: “Hey, why is the FBI slapping cuffs on a judge appointed by the governor, too?”
