A thought inspired by Amy Holmes’ Corner comment: Do those who believe that John Edwards’ affair was between him and his wife believe that Obama’s expected opponent in the 2004 Senate race, Jack Ryan, should have remained in the race after his divorce files were unsealed? Do they believe that the revelations — that Ryan wanted his wife, actress Jeri Ryan, to join him in sex clubs in Paris, which she found most unappealing — are the public’s business? If they disdain the “tabloid media” looking into the private lives and marriages of politicians, where were their objections at the time?
