Iowa Governor Chet Culver’s coming year was already looking rough; now he’s probably got a primary challenger, Jonathan Narcisse, a former Des Moines school board member. Narcisse is keeping the door open to running as an independent, however.
On the GOP side, the most likely candidate is former governor Terry Branstad, who previously held the job a mere 16 years.
