Indiana Democratic congressman Joe Donnelly, who narrowly avoided defeat in 2010, assesses our actions in Libya: “”What we’re trying to do is simply put Col. Gaddafi in a box, make sure that the people of Libya are protected, and hopefully this will not take very long.”
Sadly, that box is not a pine one, according to the Department of Defense.
I seem to recall a great deal of discussion about whether Saddam Hussein was securely in his “box” throughout the 1990s and until the U.S.-led invasion in 2003.
