Draft Saul for Senate?

A “Draft Saul Anuzis for Senate” group has cropped up in Michigan, hoping he will challenge two-term incumbent Debbie Stabenow.

While Michigan is a traditionally Democratic state, Republican Rick Snyder easily won the state’s governor’s race last year and Stabenow’s job approval has been as low as 37 percent.

Former Michigan secretary of state Terri Lynn Land says she is considering challenging Stabenow. Former representative and gubernatorial candidate Pete Hoekstra had been mentioned as a possibility, but he started “a part-time job with Dickstein Shapiro LLP on Tuesday, where he’ll advise small and medium defense companies on national security issues.”
