Tonight, the five Republicans running for Senate in Indiana will debate.
Boy, it’s nice to have a choice in an open-seat election, right, Indiana Democrats?
What’s that? You guys don’t get a choice?
Oh, that’s right.
The five Republicans are vying for the GOP nomination to win the seat held by Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh, who stunned both parties earlier this year when he decided not to seek a third term.Bayh’s decision came too late for a Democrat to be on the May 4 ballot. Instead, the Democrats’ state central committee will meet May 15 to name U.S. Rep. Brad Ellsworth to the ticket.
Nothing screams democracy like “State Central Committee.”
