The Giuliani Campaign’s Secret Words of the Day

The Giuliani campaign has made something of a game out of the Democratic debates. In just about every campaign appearance, Rudy makes sure to mention that our opponents in the war on terror are Islamist terrorists, and whacks at the Democrats for never mentioning those words during their debates. I suspect he notices that when British Prime Minister Gordon Brown bans his government from acknowledging that the attempted car bombers are Muslims, many on the right fume at what they deem as deliberate blindness and political correctness gone beyond parody.

Well moments after last night’s debate, those of us on the campaign beat got an e-mail with one question: “Guess what two words didn’t come up tonight?”
Today his campaign sends a message saying Giuliani “doesn’t get to claim credit after all.” What’s this? A moment of humility on the campaign trail? Not quite. They’re referring to this comment:

“At no time during these debates have (Democrats) ever uttered the words, ‘Islamic terrorist,’ ‘’ Giuliani said. But “if they do, I’ll take credit for it.’’
