A reader in Nevada notices something on his television:
Watching the local news in Reno – there were Harry Reid ads in just about every segment and his message hammered one point home over and over: pork pork pork. Jobs for solar projects, jobs for road projects, jobs for whatever.
Whoever challenges him will need to make the point that the number of pork jobs created pales in comparison to the pounding that the hospitality and gaming industries have taken because of liberal economic policies.
I’d note that a heck of a lot of television advertising from New Jersey governor Jon Corzine helped him narrow the gap a great deal, but ultimately couldn’t persuade voters to give him another term. Blanketing the airwaves can help you, but only so much.
