Rep. Eric Massa (D., N.Y.) was first on the scene of an accident in his district a few days ago. The congressman, certified as a paramedic and EMT eight years ago, checked out the accident victim until the ambulance arrived.
It’s a really nice thing for him to do. Naturally, he’s retelling the tale in the latest e-mail from his reelection campaign, asking for donations.
